The global aviation industry is poised to see double the number of passengers from 4 billion in 2017 to 7.8 billion by 2036 according to estimates by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The bulk of this growth will be in China and India as the center of gravity for world aviation moves eastward.

In spite of recent protectionist measures and rhetoric, the world will only become more open with aviation playing a key role. Aviation is truly global and unifying in its reach, an industry that requires immense cooperation and coordination between countries in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of people and goods. To illustrate this, consider that 192 out of 193 UN member states are party to the Chicago Convention which establishes rules for airspace, aircraft airworthiness, air traffic services among others.

The opportunities provided by this fast-growing and exciting industry are evident and directly align with my career aspirations. To that extent, this website is intended to showcase my passion for all things aviation and travel and I invite you to click on the articles tab above to learn more.
